Research into genres

Whilst planing for the video that were going to chose, we really had to consider the different genres and styles of music that we could work with. We decided to make a list of popular musical genres and narrowed down our choices to ones that we could work with. These are some of the more typical genres of music that come to mind:

• Blues
• R&B 
• Folk 
• Hip Hop
• Dance 
• House
• Electro 
• Rock 
• Indie 
• Metal 

The Song that we have chosen to work with is the kook's song called sway. This song would fall under the category of indie music. Our reasons for this choice is that unlike many of the other genres it could be easily synced with our film as the song seemed to be reasonably slow. It also had very meaningful lyrics that we could use when creating our narrative.
